Spending 7 days aboard a crewed catamaran charter exploring the culture and coastlines of Montenegro and Croatia is an unforgettable vacation experience that creates memories to last a lifetime. Your itinerary will be customized to your preferences, but to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s an example of a Montenegro itinerary:
Day 1
Embark from the historic town of Kotor at noon and sail through the Bay of Kotor to Budva on the Adriatic Sea.
Day 2
Set against a backdrop of coastal mountains with sandy beaches unlike most you’ll find in the Balkans, Budva offers something for everyone. Known as the St. Tropez of the Adriatic, Budva includes an attractive walled city, a natural harbor, old monasteries, and Polce Beach for a bit of Mediterranean nightlife.
Day 3
We’ll sail south to Sveti Stefan, where terracotta roofs of the ancient village meet modern-day luxury resorts. A trio of beaches—Sveti Stefan, Miločer, and Queen’s—offer pink sandy shorelines and warm waters that are ideal for sunbathing, swimming, or paddleboarding. You can also treat yourself by booking dinner reservations at Nobu, where you can take in stunning views of the sea and town.
Day 4
The fourth day finds us heading back north to Herceg Novi, at the Gulf of Kotor’s entrance, where you can stroll around its ancient tree-lined town squares and citadel. Other options for the day include sailing the bay and exploring the Blue Grotto—an iridescent sea cave that many consider a must-see—or heading to Dobrec, Zanjic, and Mirista coves.
Day 5
A Montenegro itinerary isn’t complete without a visit to the historic city of Kotor, where a medieval maze of museums and churches sits against the backdrop of a fortress snaking up the steepest mountains in the region. Narrow cobblestone streets and squares dotted with cafes inside the walled city make for a delightful, dramatic visit.
Day 6
We’ll remain in the Bay of Kotor and meander up to Perast and explore its tiny islands of Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Skrpjela) and St. George (Sveti Dorde), where you can visit historic churches that include a Catholic monastery.
Day 7
The week comes to a close back in port with guests disembarking at noon.
